Your role
As Saab business is growing and in order to meet demands in a fast-changing world Group Functions Operational Excellence is establishing a central transport function, Saab Transport Office. We are therefore seeking a highly motivated and experienced person who will play a central role as Manager for the Transport Compliance section within Saab Transport Office.
Saab Transport Office is a service organization which supports the business areas to minimize risk exposure and meet requirements of secure transports through centralized planning, control and threat analysis. The organization has an overall responsibility for the management of transports at Saab. We consist of three sections; Transport Operations, Transport Compliance and Business Support, and is a centralized, geographically distributed organization which means there are team colleagues at several Saab sites within Sweden.
The Transport Compliance section is responsible for providing resource and competence within the fields of customs, dangerous goods and to a limited extent export control. This includes customs handling, functional control of dangerous goods and export control submitting. The section acts as advisory to the company on related matters. Providing transport compliances courses and reports (eg Intrastat, CBAM). You will have a close cooperation with the other sections as well as other internal and external interfaces including suppliers, customers and authorities.
Key responsibilities
* Build and lead the Compliance section including personnel, work environment and budget responsibilities
* Set Goals and KPIs for the section aligning with Saab business plan
* Ensure competence development for the team
* Develop and manage relationships with internal and external interfaces
* Drive and lead change management to set routines and ways of working increasing functions effectiveness and deliverance
Your Profile
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic leader with an inclusive leadership style and excellent communication skills. You have a proven ability to foster collaboration, drive organizational improvements, and build consensus in a fast-paced environment. With your strategic mindset and strong analytical skills, you manage complex tasks, make well-informed decisions, and lead change initiatives with efficacy.
Required skills:
* Relevant academic background or equivalent
* documented experience within the transportation compliance field.
* Experience with transport, customs, dangerous goods laws and regulations
* Fluent in English and Swedish, both verbally and in writing
Skills highly valued:
* Proven ability to build organization and process improvements
* Experience with different IT systems such as IFS, TMS, MS Office
* Knowledge and experience from defense industry and products
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
