hela Sverige We are looking for an experienced Manager for Test, Inspection & Measurement to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent Manufacturing Equipment Engineering team. By joining us, you will be a key player for the definition, implementation, and continuous improvement of:
• Northvolt Systems battery module and pack production efforts for Energy Storage Systems, Automotive batteries and Industrial applications,
• industrialization and transition of our products from prototype to serial production phase and vision and inspection systems used on production equipment (e.g. laser sensors, profilometers, camera systems, triangulation systems, etc.)
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to
Responsible for managing engineers and vendors to design and deliver manual, semi-automated and fully automated test equipment achieving yield and rate targets against tight deadlines optimizing following factors:
Quality
Capacity / CAPEX
Cost of manufacturing
OEE
Provision of technical leadership to the engineering team that designs and manufacturing test equipment.
Responsible for ensuring engineering team growth and competence development as well as long term employee development and employee satisfaction.
Responsible for both establishing and secure compliance with standards and procedures.
Responsible for securing and enabling cross functional integration to relevant engineering teams.
Skills & Requirements
Fluent English with strong communication skills
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level
Minimum 10 years of experience with electro-mechanical equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Experience in discrete manufacturing line design and instrument/equipment selection.
3+ years of relevant work experience inc. leadership experience within delivering manual, semi-automated and fully automated test equipment.
Familiarity with battery module/pack manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, or other similar industries.
Experience in providing solutions to some (or all!) of the following applications: geometric dimensional measurements, presence detection, text/barcode inspection, position detection and correction, surface defect inspection, etc.
Strong background in statistical process control (SPC) and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
Good communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
Bonus points for:
Experience in the following fields:
Automotive battery production
Cell manufacturing
Launch and ramp-up situations
Fluency in other languages (Polish, Swedish, German, Chinese)
