You will be part of FACTS in Västerås, a business unit within the Power Systems division. The FACTS technology enables power system owners to increase capacity in the existing power system while the electrical stability improves. As a result, more power reaches the customers at a minimal environmental impact, shorter project time and at lower investment costs. At the FACTS unit in Västerås, we develop and sell the technology to customers around the world.

We are a team of highly qualified engineers working with system design and system studies of FACTS Technology in complex power systems. We are now looking for a communicative and responsible team player to lead our group for system studies and strengthen this area as a strategic growth area for FACTS.

Your job will be to manage and further develop the team focusing on power system studies. The responsibility for the team covers power system modelling, simulations and analysis. The studies and analysis are important for verifying the dynamic performance of the plant as well as verifying rating of components. Studies and analysis of overall power system behavior is also an important part of the responsibility. The dynamic behavior is very much dependent on control strategies why this is also a knowledge area and responsibility within the group.
The mission for the group of system studies is to be involved in projects and tenders but also in marketing activities to establish new sales opportunities.

You will be responsible to deliver operational results parallel to development of people, processes, tools and organization for continuous improvements according to our strategic targets.

To succeed in this important position you need to be both customer and result focused as well as strive for improved productivity. Preferably you hold a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering along with several years of relevant work life experience of utilities covering load flows, short circuit studies, transient analysis and stability studies. Strong leadership skills is required. As the team is multicultural and our market is global, we want you to utilize this opportunity in the best way. Fluency in English is required. If you hold language skills in other languages, this is an advantage.
