At our production unit in Timrå we assemble powered wheelchairs for primarily the European market. It is a final assembly plant with highly configurable products made to order. A key to our continues success is our ability to manage our sourcing and material handling in a continuously improved manner in terms of reliability, networking capital, quality and reduce waste in handling of parts in house.
Your duties
As Manager Supply Chain PU TIM you will be responsible for developing your team to drive improvements of our networking capital, quality of purchased parts and efficiency of our material handling. You will be the production unit's key player to develop and to deploy strategies for outbound- and inbound logistics together with Group Sourcing and other production units within Permobil, serving our customers with prompt deliveries and deploying 'best practices' in transportation, warehouse/distribution, and inventory management.
Some of your key duties will be
Develop "best practices" in transportation, warehouse/distribution and inventory management
Drive and develop our methods for stock controls for all materials, ensuring a level delivery plan with visual controls that support production plans.
Ensure appropriate level of contact with suppliers, resolving supply abnormalities with minimum disruption to production
Develop a data driven approach with visual management controls to our internal and external stakeholders
Drive sourcing initiatives with Group Sourcing to optimize NWC and create demand agility
Develop procedures to drive supplier quality performance
You will have a team of seven co-workers in purchasing, claim handling and quality. You will report to the VP Production.
Your qualifications
We believe that you hold a University degree in Supply chain Management, Engineering, or equivalent, together with a number of years of working in materials, logistics and/or supply chain management.
Previous leadership role is preferred.
To be a successful Manager Supply Chain PU TIM you will need to have a strong drive, be result oriented and be data driven in your decisions. You understand the relevance of communicating both within the organization but also with different stake holders. You are structured and have analytical & problem-solving skills, a process improvement orientation and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced and results oriented environment. It is important that you are a confident decision maker, with a proven ability to negotiate and influence others.
You have good oral and writing skills in Swedish and English.Experience from the automotive industry is a desired background.
