Transport Operations EMEA is function within Production Logistics. TO EMEA operate the transport network, secure transport capacity & LSPs performance, continuously optimize and quality assure the transport network, manage the packaging assets and secure deliveries of standard and special packaging.
This role will be a part of the Transport Quality Management team and responsible for the function Supplier Management (Sweden).

Supplier Management is responsible for securing the quality level of bought services and implemented transport set-ups, covering the scope of EMEA region. Our transport systems and bought services are under continuous review in order to ensure that we provide our colleagues, partners and customers with the most cost-effective and environmentally conscious logistic solutions possible. Today the team consists of 12 people who are located in Gothenburg.

Responsibilities:

• By continuous evaluation of supplier PI's and deviations, lead and drive improvements of quality to reach set targets for service levels agreed in SOP's and contracts
• Analyze KPI's of escalated LSP and secure preventive actions to reach contracted quality level
• Develop and implement KPI's, methods and procedures to improve LSP performance, i.e. escalation staircase
• Secure and coordinate efficient capacity planning
• Initiate and coordinate Crises Management in order to collect/distribute information and secure corrective actions to limit impact when significant disturbances occur
• Build and maintain a structural relationship with our LSP
• Support other functions with expertise and knowledge to achieve operational excellence for supplier performance
• Enhance network communication with relevant stakeholders
• Act as an inspiring leader; attract, motivate, develop and retain talent and secure necessary resources to carry out the activities at hand
• Lead and inspire the team through strategic focus and reasoning, challenging targets and coaching
• Lead and act according to Volvo way, drive change and promote diversity

Qualifications:

• University degree in logistics or equivalent
• Experience from Transportation environment
• Leadership experience is an advantage
• Experience and /or knowledge in driving quality performance
• Demonstrated ability to drive change, to set demanding targets and to motivate teams and individuals to deliver on set targets, whilst further developing an excellent working climate and atmosphere in alignment with the Volvo Way and the Code of Conduct
• Proficiency in English skills both written and spoken
• Need to have a good understanding of Logistics Area and the Volvo Group Business
• Good at building relationships and networking skills
