Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Manager Strategic Sourcing to join our Sourcing department at the Cochlear BAS headquarters located in Mölnlycke, Sweden. Reporting to the Head of Sourcing this role works within internal and external cross-functional teams. This leadership role is responsible for 6 direct reports of Strategic Buyers and Supplier Quality Assurance Engineers and a yearly purchasing spend at 120 MSEK. Included in this manager role is also an assignment as a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer.
In this permanent role you'll have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to Cochlear's successful history of innovation by applying your knowledge of purchasing and quality assurance.
Key Requirements:
10 years of experience from the fields of purchasing and quality assurance
Master of Science in Engineering, Economics or equivalent education
Experience as a manager of experienced buyers and quality professionals
Experienced, interested in and enjoying continuous improvement and change management
Good knowledge of quality and regulatory requirements for medical device industry
Very good communication skills (oral and written), Swedish and English
Very good knowledge of Windows Office and ERP systems
Takes responsibility and have the highest degree of realization
Sensitive and communicative with the power to describe and present a purchasing strategy
Diplomatic with pedagogic capacity
Businesslike in both purchasing and in relation with Cochlear?s internal and external partners
