Mission and Purpose
Manage and lead a team of experienced individuals, being part of the Sales and Marketing Academy. Sales and Marketing Academy is responsible for the development of training programs within the wholesale area for all Business Areas of the Volvo Group and for the Volvo Truck Retail commercial area. The development is made in close cooperation with the experts within the Business Areas with a clear target of enhancing both customer satisfaction and business results.
This involves securing successful integration of new members in the Academy, leveraging on all key competencies and inspiring continued development of both individuals and team. As manager of the team you are also expected to develop some key training programs yourself.
Collaborate with senior management and subject matter experts in VT, RT, VCE, Volvo Penta, UD Trucks, Mack Trucks, Volvo Buses, GTA and VFS to define training needs and align priorities.
Develop and maintain a training portfolio supporting professional development and utilizing cross-functional synergies for the Sales and Marketing organizations within the Volvo Group.
Influence
The academy teams have end-to-end responsibility towards participants and stakeholders for the delivery, maintenance and development of their respective portfolios.
As the team is mainly based here in Gothenburg, it is crucial that the manager is based here as well.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
People management with focus on engagement and development of individuals and team
Workload balance and resourcing
Develop, lead, and follow up the operations and performance to achieve commonality and synergies for the overall Academy scope
Stakeholder management, including leading reference groups supporting the Academy development
Portfolio development and consolidation
Fulfillment of KPIs and contribution to overall Academy and VGU targets. This include quality, volume as well as financial targets
Qualification criteria
University degree in Business Administration or equivalent
Solid management experience
Professional record from Sales and Marketing within the Volvo Group including well-established network in the Business Areas as well as retail business experience, is an advantage
A combination of communication, coaching, and business acumen, to lead high performing teams and strong stakeholder relationships
