The Test & Verification department at Electromobility is responsible for building up and developing upcoming test & verification operations to quality assure future electric drivelines. Delivering test results with confidence in the areas of virtual testing, function & system testing, high voltage & propulsion testing as well as energy storage system testing is a central undertaking.
Due to the ongoing expansion, we are looking for a group manager to the newly created team Rig development electromobility!
The focus for this team is to support the development of the needed test facilities in the Electromobility areas of responsibility to support future verification activities and this includes investments (budget) planning, finding suppliers, collaborations and execution/installation, user acceptance testing etc all to supporting the test teams with capabilities and capacity. This is done in close cooperation with other areas within Volvo Group Trucks Technology. The team has the overall responsibility to secure and create long term Roadmap for Electromobility Rig development and investment. Rigs include both physical and virtual rigs like HIL and the control systems connected.
Your Important Mission
As this is a new organization, we need leaders who are interested in building up and creating the best test & verification organization in close collaboration with our internal customers.
• Be a member of the Test & Verification Management team in which you will contribute to the overall Electromobility test and verification strategy
• Develop vehicle testing
• Take ownership of all your team deliveries and work proactively with processes and methods to successfully achieve our mission
• Define, implement, and lead the strategy for your team
• Lead and develop the team according to the Volvo Group Values and ensure that the function is properly resourced in all aspects
• Drive change through people and innovative technical solutions to enable an efficient product development
• Work in close collaboration with electromobility product owners and with other test and verification functions within GTT.

Qualifications
• MSc degree in Mechanical or electrical Engineering or similar
• More than 5 years of experience within product development
• More than 3 years of documented managerial experience in international environment
• At least 3 years of documented experience of test & verification methodology
• Deep and wide electromobility component and system knowledge
• As all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required
• You have experience in product and/or test facility development
• Good knowledge of work environment legislation
