Description

Would you like to lead the development of our future food processing technologies and competencies? Would you like to lead a highly specialised and qualified team?

We are looking for a Research & Technology Manager, who will directly manage a team of project managers and technology specialists within food processing. The R&T team has a global responsibility within Tetra Pak Processing, to drive Technology development projects linked to our five food categories. As R&T Manager, you will drive governance and prioritization of projects and follow-up on performance and budget.

In your role, you will also secure technological leadership by close co-operation with customers, universities and industry partners as well as driving long term plans within our technology platforms. Technology scouting and evaluation of latest technologies applied to the food industry is also within your responsibilities, where your business acumen and link to market needs is essential.

You will lead strategic initiatives and collaborations outside the Research & Technology Team and thereby you will create an extensive internal and external network of the global organisation.

Main responsibilities

• Drive implementation of the global technology development strategy
• Effectively lead and develop a group of eleven highly professionals
• Manage the technology development projects through securing effective governance structure
• Secure the innovative profile of Tetra Pak through making sure projects deliver according to market needs
• Secure technology leadership by key competence networks and through technology platforms
• Drive strong collaborations with academic institutions to create value for Tetra Pak

Qualifications

We are looking for a team player with good leadership skills as well as communication skills, to be able to collaborate with stakeholders within and outside your own organisation. You have a drive to perform and improve our results. You are analytical, curious by nature and have a strong passion for innovation. You also have the ability to link innovation to business needs and opportunities.

We believe you have several years experience from the food or food processing industry and leading R&D activities and/or departments. You hold an MSc, and preferably a PhD, in Engineering. You have preferably, experience from working in an academic environment or collaboration with academic institutions. A very good command of English, both written and oral is required.
