We are looking for driven and motivated Group Manager R&D Verification and Validation to lead our team and work in the Research and Development (R&D) department within Epiroc Underground Rock Excavation (URE).

URE R&D Örebro is in an exciting phase, with a solid product portfolio of underground machines to maintain and further develop, and facing major technology shifts in our application; electrification, battery drive and automation. This put even higher demands on our Verification & Validation team and we need to further develop to meet the demands. Are you the one to join us and lead this journey?
Epiroc URE has a large program of machines used in tunneling and underground mining operation. The machines are operative all around the world, normally in very harsh environments with high demands on safety, reliability and productivity. Mission
Drive and secure "first class" management and execution of Testing, Verification and Validation when it comes to lead time, quality and cost. As Group Manager Verification & Validation you take full responsibility for verification and validation of all URE Örebro prototypes, demonstrators and rebuilds, incl. field- and functional tests. Develop and drive best practices including methods and tools in validation and verification. Establish a software test lab for testing and verification of software for our RCS machines (HIL lab). You will lead a Department of approx. 17 employees (both white and blue collars).
Skills and Knowledge
- Engineering education on university level or other relevant background and experience
- Experience from product development, verification and validation, mobile applications and underground application are meritorious
- Proven management skills
- Swedish and English both written and spoken

Pending shareholder and stock exchange approvals, the transition will take place in early 2018.
Atlas Copco's Mining and Rock Excavation business area will form the core of Epiroc, providing equipment for drilling and rock excavation, as well as a complete range of related consumables and service through a global network. This business area innovates for sustainable productivity in surface and underground mining, infrastructure, civil works, well drilling and geotechnical applications. Principal product development and manufacturing units are located in Sweden, the United States, Canada, China and India.
