What do we offer?
At Propulsion Transmission Systems we are responsible for manual and automatic gearboxes, driveline and AWD system within Volvo Cars. We lead the development within our area in Hybrid, BEV as well as ICE powertrains. The department is working with in-house design and manufacturing on EFAD (Electric Front Axle Drive) and ERAD (Electric Rear Axle Drive) within the MEP (Modular Electric Platform) where we are responsible for the whole development chain of design, CAE and physical verification.
We are in the middle of the fast growing area and working towards new technology of hybrid & electric vehicles. We are now recruiting for a Manager within Electrified Transmission at Propulsion Transmission Systems, in this position you will take an important part in both inspiring and leading our dedicated engineers towards new challenges within the field of Electrified Transmissions.
What you 'll do
You will be the leader of a team with around 15 members. You will be managing the design and development of electric transmissions. You will be the one accountable for the deliveries of Advanced Engineering, Industrialization, Quality and Ratios. You will also take responsibility for related work processes.
You will development both the team and each individual and be in charge for supplier cooperation. You will a part of the Propulsion Transmission Systems management team and take an active role in the operation. We have an agile organization based on SAFe and as a Team Manager you will also have a role in the agile organization.
Do you fit the profile?
We believe you are passionate about cars, both from a customer and technical point of view. We see that you have a University Degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent with many years experience in the automotive area. You need will need a very good practical and theoretical knowledge of transmission development.
You possesses leadership skills and a great bussines acumen. You are a great communicator who appreciate cooperation. You have a high level of engagement and a strong enthusiasm that you like to share in order to reach the goal together with your team. You are a person with high integrity and professionalism, open to new things and eager to encourage others to change in order to deliver.
Moreover, you need to be structured, organized and planned. You are fluent in spoken and written English. Experience in supplier industry, manufacturing area and international assignments are meritorious.
