We are now looking for a new Manager of the R&D Project Management Office (PMO), Surface Division Örebro, to represent the team and lead it into future success - an opportunity to combine the best of management and project management in one role!
Your mission
Your mission is to develop a world-class project management team and establish a PMO benchmark within the company of Epiroc!
As Manager for the Project Management Office you will lead a team of six project managers, report to the local Surface Division R&D Manager and be a part of the local R&D Management Team. Together with them you will build a culture of "Better together", with high focus on collaboration, safety and wellbeing.
Your main responsibilities will be to secure best in class project management and that we set up and execute our projects in best possible way. The project managers are expected to lead their teams to work efficiently, find the right conceptual solutions, make optimal compromises and to propose rational solutions to problems and challenges. You will coach, motivate and develop them to drive projects from a holistic perspective, take full accountability and work as one with the goal to maximize the value for our customers!
You will also establish a clear and proactive recruitment strategy, ensuring that all new recruitments adds clear value and contributes to an overall improved performance level of the PMO team. Further, you will be working to maintain and develop our project processes and manuals in collaboration with the Technology and Methods department.
We expect that the managerial tasks will take up about 50 percent of your working time, which leaves room to take on project management tasks on the remaining time. This means that you will also drive and manage exciting development projects in an inspiring and developing environment.
Your profile
To be successful in this role you should have a Master of Science degree in the field of Engineering, or similar knowledge gained through work experience. You should preferably have at least three years' work experience in a similar managerial role, as well as senior project management competence.
We are looking for an outstanding leader with well-developed communication and leadership skills. You need to have the ability to show the way by setting good examples and following our vision "Dare to think new". Openness, honesty and transparency are very important in this role.
As our corporate language is English, fluency in both written and spoken English is required. We also require basic communication skills in Swedish, whereas good communication skills in Swedish is an advantage.
Location and travel
This position is located in Örebro, Sweden. Occasional travel occur based on business needs.
