hela Sverige The organization Global Operations & Quality consists of facilities in Sweden, China and the USA, with global support functions such as Supply Chain, Quality, Environment and Product Compliance, Industrial Development and Business Control.
In the Vara plant about 240 employees manufacture marine and stationary diesel engines, Vara is also the Distribution center for the European market. As Manager for Production Planning & Procurement in Vara you will be responsible for activities related to timely and accurate plan our engine production and procure material to both our production and distribution center VPDC.
As a Leader for the planning & procurement department important tasks will be securing delivery precision, recruit and develop direct reports and proactive communicate with production and supply chain. Perform necessary replanning, drive, and participate in continuous improvements and projects. Your most frequent outside Vara contacts are Global Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Department and of course all our Suppliers.
Another important part of your role will also be to be part of and support the Logistic Management Team in developing the organization and the collaboration with other functions. You will be reporting to the Manager for Plant Logistics and main KPI 's are delivery precision and turnover rate.
You hold a University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics or equivalent and have work experience in industry related to production. Preferably experienced as a leader from the areas of planning or procurement.
You need to be fluent in Swedish and English and have a clear customer focus combined with high responsiveness. You are passionate about people and a leader who knows how to bring out the best out of your team.
