We are now looking for a Manager to our Product Specialist team within our Product Management department.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
The holder of this position will manage the Product Specialist team, consisting of 16 highly skilled self-going individuals that work in an international environment. As a manager you will develop the product specialist role, motivating your staff, planning personnel development, planning resources and setting salary.
You will have the overall responsibility for the operational work within the unit. This includes among others:
Maintain and develop product functionality:
The product specialists' help product management identify, plan and prioritize new and maintaining existing product functionality. Further the product specialists' take part in the development project as expert on end user needs and expectations. Customer cases:
The product specialist team solves and prioritizes support cases of a high complexity, escalated from our local support teams worldwide. The product specialists either solve them on their own or in close cooperation with other departments. Develop tools and processes:
Take active part to develop the support processes and tools in order to improve the internal efficiency and the interfaces with other functions in the technical service structure. Driving competence:
The products specialist team owns the internal and external product information pages and writes technical notes, FAQs and white papers.
You are expected to work closely with your team to give guidance and support in the day to day work. Besides this you are also expected to actively develop the product specialist role and set goals and strategies that support Products Managements and Axis overall directions.
The role involves travelling, approximately 20 days a year.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an experienced and structured leader with excellent social network skills. We believe that you to have the ability to lead and motivate people both in the long term and in the day to day operations.
The pace within product management is high and fast decisions and stressful situations will occur making it important with a strong and clear leader with ability to handle such situations. We also believe you have a service minded attitude and that you are practical when it comes to technical matters. It is of great value if you have technical knowledge and experience from working with Axis products.
Apart from above we believe you have:
Well documented success in leading people, at least 5 years in a leading position. At least 10 years working experience. A University degree or similar in Engineering. Experience from working in an international organization.
Good technical understanding and experience from customer service in a product organization. Excellent English skills, both written and verbal.
Experience from working in development projects and creating training material is an advantage.
THE PRODUCT MANAGEMENT TEAM
Product Management is responsible for the Network Cameras, Encoders/Decoders and Accessories product offerings. This includes product planning, managing the products' life cycle, and handling of complex support issues escalated from local support teams. Our interfaces are both internal such as R&D, Sales & Marketing and Operations as well as external customers, partners and suppliers.
