The organization Global Operations & Quality consists of facilities in Sweden, China and the USA with global support functions such as Supply Chain, Quality, Environment and Product Compliance, Industrial Development and Business Control.
In the Vara plant about 220 employees manufacture marine and stationary diesel engines.
We are now looking for a Manager Product Quality Support to join our team in the Vara plant. We will reinforce the organization with this role in order to speed up the transformation of our organization into the future. The department has about 15 blue-collar workers, operating in supplier quality, measurements, engine audits and calibration.
You will report to the Manager Quality & Environment and be part of the Vara Quality & Environment management team.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
Manage daily operations
Meet department goals and targets together with your employees
Strategically develop methods, processes and routines within the product quality area
Hire and develop employees
Develop department, in cooperation with other functions in the Vara plant and Volvo Penta
Manage quality projects
Participate and take an active role in the Vara Quality & Environment management team
We see that you possess these qualifications:
University degree in Industrial and Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Very good and proven leadership skills and experience
Experience working with product quality issues
Work experience in Project Management
Fluency in Swedish and English, Swedish is a must
