The department of Quality and Product Safety is now looking for a Manager Product Quality Assurance.

Our department is responsible for driving and coordinating Quality and Product safety within Volvo Penta and we are part of the Quality, Environment and Product Compliance function.
Our business is under continuous challenges regarding Quality and connected to that Quality improvements. Our big customers, mainly OEM's, are continuously increasing the demands on all aspects of Quality.
Position description
This role will lead and coordinate our way of working with Product Quality globally from several different perspectives. Amongst other personal skills, this part of the job demands a strong communication ability.
You will work in close cooperation with several stakeholders, within Penta as well as within Volvo Group. The ability to build good relationships is becoming increasingly important as a base for effective cooperation.
To be successful in this role, the ability to lead and coordinate cross functional teams is important. To be able to engage people we believe it is a necessity to have an intrinsic passion for Quality.
Core responsibilities
Lead work to solve complex/critical Quality issues in cross functional teams
Perform Root Cause activities in connection with complex/critical Quality issues
Together with responsible line functions develop our Quality assurance capability, i.e. quality target setting, control plans, competence development, benchmarking, problem solving
Lead improvement projects related to Quality
Desirable experience and qualifications
Good knowledge and solid experience from Quality area, including Quality tools, problem solving and Quality audits
Leadership and project management capabilities
Great communication skills, both in terms of reports, presentations and dialogue
Good technical understanding preferably from engine and transmissions
Knowledge within production processes preferred
Experience from automotive preferred
Master of Science degree or similar level of education within relevant area
A structured mindset
Fluent in Swedish and English is a minimum. Other language skills are welcome
