Description
As manager for Ore Reserves and Project Evaluation you will have the general responsibility for the department consisting of six Resource Geology Specialists serving both the Exploration- and Business Development departments as well as the different mine sites with their expertise.
The department's task is to be specialists in project evaluation, modelling and resource estimation with the aim to support business critical decisions in exploration and mining. The department also ensures that compliant reporting according to the PERC standard is conducted.
Key responsibilities:
Personnel - Leading a team of six direct reports
Budget - Responsibility to compile budgets and report progress on the department results
Environment, health and safety - Responsibility for safety, wellbeing, and environmental performance of the department
Reporting - Developing and maintaining the reporting according to Pan-European Reserves and Resources Reporting Committee (PERC)
Responsibility - Having the status and being prepared and able to act as a competent person for the company
The position is based in Boliden, here we work office hours, the previous manager is available for support and you can live close by. Work trips occurs frequently.
Qualifications

You should have a natural ability to apply both support and control towards stakeholders and colleagues across departmental boundaries. Key qualifications:
A university degree in geoscience, mine engineering or similar
You should have substantial experience from mining and exploration companies and previous managerial experience
Previous experience of reporting according to a CRIRSCO standard is mandatory
You must be fluent in English language, Swedish and/or Finnish is a merit
A category B driving license is required
