Médecins Sans Frontières (OCB) are looking for a Manager for the Stockholm Evaluation Unit (SEU)Doctors without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international medical humanitarian organization determined to bring quality medical care to people in crises around the world, when and where they need regardless of religion, ethnical background or political view. Our fundamental principles are neutrality, impartiality, independence and medical ethics. In Sweden we raise funds, recruit field workers, communicate, advocate for change and provide operational services to contribute to saving lives and alleviating suffering in the world. We are around a hundred people working for MSF Sweden at out nice and bright office at Liljeholmen in Stockholm.The SEU (Stockholm Evaluation Unit) carries out and manages evaluations on behalf of MSF internationally. The unit is part of the MSF inter-sectional evaluation group who provide evaluation services to the international movement. The roleThe Manager of the SEU has overall responsibility for the unit, the team (currently five people) and ensures the realisation of the overall objective to improve institutional learning and accountability within OCB. The position is responsible for developing the evaluation framework and annual plans and reports to the steering committee. The Manager of SEU can also be required to support other parts of the movement through the rotating position as Intersectional Evaluation Group (IEG) Focal Point. Main responsibilities · Developing and delivering the SEU objectives· Building capacity to meet growing demands for quality evaluations · Developing and improving the evaluation processes, methodology and approach · Building and maintaining networks and ensure representation of the SEU at relevant platforms· Providing leadership to the team and a healthy work environment· Ensuring effective and efficient use of financial resources· Promoting evaluation as an essential tool for accountability and learning· As part of the Management team contribute to the shaping and steering of MSF Sweden We are looking for · Relevant academic degree or training· Operational experience with MSF· Experience working with evaluation, research or a comparable field· Demonstrable understanding of research methods, including mixed method· Excellent communicator skills specifically interpersonal skills and ability to influence others· Ability to take initiative and lead others It's valuable if you have· Familiarity with data collection and analysis tools· MSF experience in a coordination position· French language The social environment at MSF SwedenAs an employee at MSF Sweden you will be part of a movement providing people with medical aid and humanitarian care.
