As a result, data structure availability, integrity, and visualization are critical needs. With the growing amounts of data Klarna creates these needs become more acute, and harder to maintain, as time goes by.
The manager of Data Delivery will own the day to day use of Klarna?s data warehouse, as well as other databases outside of the production system. They will ensure proper structure and tuning of databases as well as serve as thought leaders on data structure, access and use.
This is a full time position in Stockholm, Sweden.
Responsibilities:
• Design, Architect, and Develop data solutions to meet risk and product teams data needs
• Provide comprehensive leadership on the use and improvement of existing databases as well as introduction of new ones
• Provide data solutions approach to business partners across Analysts, Management, End Users, and Developers to clarify objectives, identify problems, determine scope, garner consensus, and recommend solutions
• Lead end-to-end efforts to solve data needs through data structure and data models, leveraging existing databases, identifying new databases as needed, and integration of these data and databases
• Build and maintain the company?s data dictionary and corresponding database design
• Ensure effective and accurate data modeling and validation
• Build and Drive standards in accordance with the company's data and performance needs as well as industry best
• Develop, maintain, and communicate data architecture and data integration plans to all stakeholders for optimizing the alignment of business processes, information and technology, and users
• Serve as business owner and subject matter expert for data infrastructure and performance questions
• Provide training for analysts across the company
• Provide data visualization and access solutions as ad-hoc or long term solutions
Requirements:
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field
• Several years? experience in database administration, data architecture, and schema development, as well as managing teams in this area
• Experience with data warehousing architecture, data modeling, and ETL techniques best practices
• Very fluent and comfortable with English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages, mainly Swedish, is highly desired
• Experience in database programming, performance tuning and query optimization techniques
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL and relational databases; experience with graph and noSQL databases is a plus
• Proven ability to find creative solutions to data related problems
• Solid coding skills; knowledge of and experience with visualization packages is a big plus
• Proven success in timely, high quality delivery of projects
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to impact stakeholders in a matrixed, ambiguous structure
