The department Vehicle Propulsion - Power is a part of Research and Development and responsible for the development of all Internal Combustions engines and all Hybrid engines. The group Mechanical-Functional Testing consists of 18 engineers who are responsible to lead and conduct Mechanical Functional Testing & Verification for all of Volvo Cars propulsions systems.
As a Manager for the Mechanical Functional testing you are responsible for the overall management and long-term reliability of the Group's development and results. You will also create opportunities for the employees to develop according to our aspired culture.
Main responsibilities
* Lead the execution of existing VCC Test Codes
* Promote the use of new test methods that enhances both quality and productivity within the field of mechanical-functional testing verification
* New methodology should be established in close cooperation with Vehicle Propulsion CAE groups
* Be responsible for the overall Mechanical-Functional test strategy within engine engineering, including outsourcing
Required qualifications
* MSc or BSc degree in Mechanical engineering, or several years of relevant experience
* Have minimum 5 years' experience of development work in the automobile industry, knowledge of VCC development process in general and engine engineering experience in particular
* Management experience is meritorious
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken
