hela Sverige We are now looking for a Manager to lead and support our mechanical group within the Engineering department. If you are interested in how to integrate high tech to a system that give our customers the world's best performance and reliability, then this is the position for you!
At our Innovation Centre in Sweden, you will find the opportunity to develop your inclusive leadership and team management skills with a group of engineers involved all aspects of mechanical development. The team is working with everything from requirements, concept and detail design to implementation and testing. Together, you will be responsible for the development of our electronic housings, waveguides/antennas and pressure/corrosion-resistant connections made by machining of metals and polymers, forming of sheet metals, die cast and injection molding.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
In this position, you will be part of the Mechanical Engineering team where you will manage approximately seven direct reports who are highly skilled engineers with different background and skills. You will report to the Director for Mechanical Engineering.
As a manager for mechanical engineering you will:
be responsible for the personnel reporting to you as employees and contractors. This includes activities such as recruitment, personal development and support to fulfill meaningful tasks.
be Functional lead on Mechanical design deliverables. As such, you drive for results that meet the requirements of quality, innovation and speed.
work for the team's operational implementation in order to secure aligned plans and agreements, but also on technical implementation of architecture and platforming across product programs.
secure cross functional cooperation with other functions to ensure a successful collaboration, both short term and long term. Key factors for this are good teamwork and communications as well as a creative workplace.
develop team structure to improve and make our design methods and work procedures more efficient. You will start, drive and maintain initiatives to increase the organization capability.
WHO YOU ARE

You are open-minded, curious, and structured. You also know how to efficiently plan and prioritize your work, take initiatives and have the drive to build and develop relationships. You are interested in understanding the essence of the technology and meaning behind design solutions. To succeed in this role you need to:
have a university degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or similar
have work experience in a design or product development position involving detailed mechanical design and associated manufacturing processes.
have experience from leading others, managerial experience is considered a merit.
be fluent in English, both written and spoken, since our business environment is international. Communication skills in Swedish is a merit.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The location for this position is in Mölnlycke outside Göteborg with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.
