Description
Are you the one to drive the development of the Mechanical Engineering team to meet future demands in Packaging Material production?
As part of the new Supply Chain Operations (SCO) Industrial Base Management (IBM) organisation you will join an interesting journey, contributing to a stronger integration and collaboration between development and Packaging Material production.
The Mechanical Engineering team works across all competence areas within Converting Line; e.g. Pre press & Printing, Coating & Lamination, Material Treatment and Finishing. The Mechanical Engineering team is part of the Engineering organization and deliver mechanical design solutions, developed in-house and together with our global equipment suppliers.
As Manager of the mechanical engineering team, you will posses ownership of the mechanical design standards, methods and tools. You will drive the Mechanical Engineering agenda internal and towards converting factories and suppliers. It is essential to understand the needs of our factories and their maintenance departments. You will also be part of the SCO IBM extended management team.
In this position you will lead a team of Mechanical Designers, Technical Responsibles and Mechanical Installation Engineers working from early development to deployment of solutions in our factories and life cycle management of installed solutions.
The position is based in Lund and will require 10-30 days of travelling per year.
Main responsibilities
• Manager for a team of 14 engineers
• Ownership of mechanical engineering standards, tools & methods
• Manage & Develop the mechanical engineering competences
• Deliver design solutions across Converting Line areas
Qualifications
We are searching for a new colleague with a strong interest for both people and technology. To be successful in this role you have a strong personal drive, can create solid structures and organize work. You are open and collaborative, enjoy networking and are an excellent communicator.
To be successful you have 5 years of proven successful management background and you have a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar. Your Swedish and English skills are excellent, written as well as spoken.
