Publiceringsdatum2019-11-20ArbetsuppgifterThe R&D Manager Mechanical Design will direct the Mechanical Design Group of SVP Worldwide. The Manager of the Mechanical Design Group will play a critical role in the maintenance of current products and in new product development activities covering the entire product life cycle.
You will also be responsible for:
• Enforce and promote adherence to SVP's Product Development Process (PDP)
• Establish "best practice" process to developing SVP products.
• Deliver new product launches to market on time, on budget and to the quality and performance specifications.
• Continually identify areas of needed improvement and develop plans to drive necessary changes.
• Set and follow up department goals as well as make sure individual goals are set and followed up throughout the whole organization.
• Recruit, hire, train, and mentor staff to increase productivity and output by utilizing best engineering practices.
• Drive adaption of advanced engineering simulation techniques.
• Identify areas of risk and work efficiently to mitigate risk and optimize opportunity.
ProfilFORMAL EDUCATION:
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software Engineering or related field
• Fluent English, verbal and in writing
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:
The next Manager Mechanical Design has at least 8 years of technical background of developing mechanical products, with 4 years in a management role. You are an excellent leader with strong personal ownership. You deliver on time and you have a strong focus on delivering results. Furthermore you have the ability to prioritize work together with several stakeholders.
