Who is your future team?
You will lead a team consisting of 6 skilled and dedicated professionals that is a part of Global Manufacturing at Axis. Our assignment is to assure that manufacturing of Axis' products is performed with repeatable and right quality, at a competitive cost. We drive the production agenda and develop long-term manufacturing capabilities and capacity.
What will you do here as a Manager, Manufacturing Capacity & Cost?
You will, together with your team, be overall responsible to assure sufficient mid- to long-term manufacturing capacity at our EMS partners and assure that the available capacity is monitored. At the same time, it is your job to assure that Axis' products are produced at competitive manufacturing costs. You will take active part in the continuous development of Axis' manufacturing strategy and own and develop the EMS strategy and balance utilization and load between our manufacturing sites, both regarding new product introductions and volume production.
Further yours and your teams' responsibilities include to:
* Be active in product development projects to assure competitive manufacturing costs
* Develop the manufacturing partners' performance over time together with other stakeholders within Axis and continue to develop the solid relationship Axis has with our manufacturing partners
* Nurture and develop collaboration with all relevant parts of Axis organization, both within R&D and Operations
* Retain, recruit and develop talent in your organization in order to manage current and future tasks
Since this is a new role and a team which recently have been put together, you will be given a large opportunity to affect ways of working and how to interact with other parts of Axis' organization.
This position will require 20-30 days of travelling per year.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role we believe that you love to manage and grow people, especially devoted and driven individuals like those in this team. We see that you are great at establish professional connections and collaborate across organizational borders, and you have good communications skills both in Swedish and English. It comes natural for you to be a helpful team player, who enjoy a high pace and demanding work environment, and you see and explore improvement opportunities, especially within the area of IT tools.
We also see that you have:
* Deep knowledge of how electronics manufacturing is managed, and its cost drivers, is essential
* Knowledge of EMS business model
* Documented leadership experience
* Experience from volume production of electronics is a must, preferably in a contract manufacturing context
* Experience from working with sourcing
It is extra meriting if you also have:
* Knowledge of hardware product development
* A few years' experience from management positions in an international environment
