Role Description
The Supply Chain department seeks a Manager Logistics to the team to lead the warehouse staff and help develop our function as a whole to meet todays and future demands.
As Manager Logistics you will have warehouse staff (10 persons today) directly reporting to you and responsibility for material management (raw material, spare parts and other) and the warehouse facility to comply with cGMP, laws and regulations as well as internal standards with close attention to EHS (Environment, Health and Safety). To run the warehouse a multitude of systems are used such as SAP, EAMS, ARIBA, AMPS etc, which demand proper expertise existing within the group.
Adding to the leadership of your direct reports you are also a member of the Supply Chain team where you are expected to contribute to the development of the department as a whole. To be successful you need to be well oriented in Supply Chain matters as well as ERP and data warehouse systems and also experienced with transforming data into decision supporting material. Our site manufactures according to flow concept where the process of making the product is at the center of the operations always having the customer in focus.
You will be a leader in a changing environment and need to be comfortable to lead in change.
You are expected to drive improvements proactively together with your team and peers and also cross functionally using both site and global network. Hence you are expected to have a combination of strong leadership and team player skills.
The applicant is also expected to naturally join/build global networks aiming to bring home best practices to Strängnäs site and spread our practice to others.
You will be responsible for developing/improving strategies and build/use visual management to drive improvements cross-functionally concerning material handling.
Analytical skills as well as skills in writing clear condensed reports is needed to be successful and you are expected to use a science based approach in your work. An academic background is therefore mandatory as well as job experience using a science based approach.
To be successful in this role you need to both be strong in turning the here and now challenges around as well as being strategic so that every decision in the short term also serves the long term strategy.
Responsibilities
Adding to the above your responsibilities also include:
• Develop personnel and warehouse in alignment with Pfizer processes and to maintain a cGMP compliant status of people knowledge and SOPs
• Area responsibility for the warehouse space
• Approval of purchases
• Actively participate in recurring daily morning meetings
• Actively contribute to Supply Chain team development in alignment with Pfizer Global Supply transformation
• Be an inspiring change leader to adapt the organization to changing demands
• Make use of technology and systems to support and simplify work and follow up
Qualifications
Knowledge or Experience Required:
• Bachelor of Science or equivalent educational level in a relevant field
• Experience from pharmaceutical industry
• Thorough understanding and experience of cGMP
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in Swedish and English
• Experience from Lean, six sigma and continuous improvements
• Supply Chain experience
• Preferably experienced in SAP work
Personal requirements:
• Be well oriented in standard computer tools such as excel, word, powerpoint
• Used to system generated reporting and of transforming data collection into decision support material
• Open and easy to work with
• Enjoy team-work
• Flexible and quickly adapt to change
