The factory in Borås, Sweden produces the main part of Volvo Buses total volume of complete bus chassis and we also provide our assembly plants around the world with KD kits.

We are now looking for our next Manager for Intro Engineering. The Intro engineering department is responsible for the product preparation of existing and new products and consists of about 25 employees. In your team you have Intro engineers, Local project leaders for new products and Tool designers. As our Manager for Intro Engineering, you will be a member of the management team for Manufacturing Engineering in Borås.

Main Tasks

As a Manager of Intro Engineering you will have the local responsibility for one of our three engineering teams. You will also be in charge of meeting the target image for our local factory by involving and developing your team. We have a strong focus on the End 2 End performance why we see that you have a good ambition to involve and develop the cooperation with Product development and the Manufacturing units. Also to ensure focus on Continuous improvements and appliance of Lean principles. Other assignments within your responsibilities:
• Secure commonality in our products
• Industrialize new products
• Prepare design change of exiting products
• Prepare instructions for our assembly methods
• Develop tools for production

Profile and Competence Requirements
To succeed in your role, you should have active leadership and a positive attitude. As a leader you have courage, integrity and a good understanding of the business. You also have the ability to communicate and inspire teams and individuals to take their responsibility and complete what needs to be done.
You will effectively drive development and have a high level of ambition and be used to working in a cross-functional and multicultural organization.

• University degree and/or relevant working experience
• Managerial experience
• Knowledge and experience in application of Lean principles
• Fluent in Swedish and excellent English, both spoken and written
