As a Manager Internal Logistics you will be part of Thermo Fisher Scientific's ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD), which develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases.
With 1,600 employees worldwide, IDD is the global leader in in-vitro allergy testing and also the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics.
The overall department Global Logistics consists of a distribution center with central warehousing of finished products, customer order management, transport management and trade compliance expertise to support our global customer market. The department also includes a group that supports production with supply material, Internal Logistics. The Manager, Internal Logistics reports to Senior Manager, Global Logistics and have six direct reporting employees and they are material technicians and Laboratory Engineers.
This position has mainly internal contacts such as QA, RA, Sourcing, Real Estate and EHS. The external contacts are Suppliers for specific services and materials.

You main working tasks will be:
- Manage the main processes for the sites incoming goods flow overall
• Receiving inspection/sampling of supply material
• Warehouse management of supply material
• Presentation of supply material towards manufacturing units at site
• Drive efficiency projects in the site by improving logistics methods in strong collaboration with cross functional functions, manufacturing units, production planning and sourcing dpt.
• Operational management, staffing, safety, environmental and quality conducted in accordance with HR, EHS, ISO (13485 and 14001), QSR in a regulated field
• Maintenance responsible for warehouse module in SAP R/3
• PPI process manager
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, represent and control the work according to the team and departmental plan
• Secure resources and competence
• Management and monitoring of the cost center
• Perform lean projects, implement daily board meetings and 5S-method
• Interact by networking with the manufacturing units, planning dpt, Sourcing in order to adapt to future production volumes
• Responsibility for forklifts and agreement holder towards supplier
We are looking for a person who has:
• Training in supply chain and logistics at university level or equivalent
• Demonstrated management and leadership skills
• Basic experience in lean work
• Good knowledge of business English
• Fluent in spoken and written Swedish
• Open and clear communication skills
• Long experience from guidance of people and management of logistics projects
Other job requirements:
• Experience of business system SAP R/3 is meritorious
• Experience in pharmaceutical or medical technology industry
• Quality systems ISO and QSR
• Environmental regulations ISO
