Customer Service and Solutions is a new department within Volvo CE Technology. We are developing Volvo CE's future solutions in areas such as autonomous machines, site management systems, operator support functions, telematics and diagnostics. We are continuing to strengthening our teams with passionate, open minded and competent engineers who develop the future solutions for our yellow machines and create more profitable business to our customers. We are now recruiting a new manager to take Intelligent Machine Platform department to the next level.
Manager Intelligent Machine Platform
The department Intelligent Machine Platform was established in 2017 and has been rapidly growing. Your department is globally responsible to develop and maintain technical solutions for Volvo Co-Pilot, site management and autonomous functions. Your department works in a dynamic area under development which requires contacts with customers, sales and market organization, which often requires reprioritization of your team focus areas. Your team works closely with our product platforms, core technologies, advanced engineering, purchasing department, suppliers, partners and other Volvo Group units to secure cross functional collaboration.
Your team work in projects to develop new operator assist functions or services in Co-Pilot, advanced engineering projects, solutions development for site management or machines or in a pilot project to test business models or mature technology with our customers.
Your department has today 12 highly skilled engineers working with system engineering, SW development and technical lead, but your department is growing.
You are responsible to develop and recruit top talents for Volvo CE within your department responsibility areas. You have budget, salary, staffing and planning responsibility for your department. You will be a member in Customer Services & Solutions Management Team.
You will be a key person in creating a new business for Volvo CE and profitable business for our customers. Your open mindset, attitude, passion and personality will be a success factor for this team.

Experience and Qualifications
• Master or Bachelor in computer science, electrical or electronic engineering or equivalent
• Experience of technical team leadership is beneficial
• Solution oriented
• Experience from agile work methods is beneficial
• Experience from vehicle automation or connectivity area is beneficial
• Proficient spoken & written communication skills in English is a requirement
• Proficient spoken & written communication skills in Swedish is beneficial
