About the job
Offering a full set of energy sector consulting services tailored for energy companies, investors and public authorities everywhere in the world, ÅF services the entire ecosystem of energy sector assets, organizations and processes. ÅF is now expanding the energy markets business and we are now looking for a section manager to our new IFI section in Sweden. As section manager for this unit, you will be responsible for growing the IFI business internationally; developing and implementing a commercial strategy, building and developing client-relationships within the IFI area (World Bank, IFC, ADB, SIDA etc.), selling assignments and managing the daily operations of the section. You will be leading a group of highly experienced consultants and be overall responsible for the section's financial results.
You will be part of the business area Energy Markets management team and report to Executive Vice President Energy Markets based in Madrid. You will work from Stockholm, Gothenburg or Malmö.
Who are you?
We are looking for a senior manager who can lead the development of an international energy markets consultancy practice. You have a strong consultancy track record, solid experience in selling large and complex consulting services and, 10+ years of experience in at least one of the following fields: policy & regulation of energy markets, renewable energy, rural electrification, district heating, energy efficiency, transmission & distribution or climate change. You have significant and proven experience in working with/for IFIs and have been working internationally. Furthermore, you are used to working in a multicultural environment. Experience with working in Africa, Middle East, and/or Asia is qualifying.
To be successfull in the role you have several years of experience as a manager. Preferably with experience in recruitment and managing a growing business. As a person, you are a business minded team player with a strong drive and a passion for developing and growing new business. You are a natural leader that can inspire and develop a team and lead by example. You are fluent in English and at least one other (foreign) language. You are able and willing to travel a significant amount of time.
