As MANAGER GEOMETRY ASSURANCE within Total Vehicle Geometry you are responsible for managing and developing a group of engineers and technicians. The work also involves ensuring that Volvo Cars Torslanda (VCT) has the ability and prerequisites to fulfill the geometric requirements in project phases and in production mode for all products. Interesting to know is that we are a department which spans world wide with sections in each plant and a central organisation handling all vehicle programmes. You will work in a high paced, competent organisation that monitors the geometrical outcome with focus on short and long term improvements. Your technical competence should be strong to be able to make your own decisions and technical conclusions. Your mindset should be proactive with an aim of finding solutions.
Job profile:
• Manage and develop the group
• Ensure that VCT has the ability and prerequisites to fulfill the geometric requirements in project phases and in production mode for all products
• Ensure cross-functional geometry work within VCT
• Act as VCT's expert in cross-functional forums regarding geometry and upcoming product/process project
• Develop work methods in consultation with other geometry networks within Volvo Car Corporation and Volvo Cars Manufacturing
• Spread and share the geometry work to production
Your profile:
• University degree or equivalent work experience
• Extensive work experience in operational geometry assurance within production or product development, preferably within the automotive industry
• Leadership skills
• Interest in leading and developing techniques and methodologies within geometry assurance
• Good communication skills in English and Swedish, oral and written
• Experience or ability to assimilate ideas and adapt these to your own operations
• Analytical thinking with an ability to structure and prioritize
• Self-starting
• Team player
