Be the next manager of our leading independent laboratory specializing in high voltage testing!
At STRI, we love nothing better than testing high voltage components and systems. Our world class laboratory and climate test hall are equipped to handle tests on products with system voltages up to and above 800 kV DC and AC. Although STRI is part of Hitachi Energy, STRI as part of its accreditation, is run as a separate entity with both internal and external customers.
We are now looking for the person to drive and manage this world leading business. You will be responsible to support your team to develop themselves as well as the organization in both short- and long-term perspective.

Your responsibilities
In this exciting role you will manage and run STRI from an operational and maintenance perspective
Lead a highly competent team conducting the various tests while maintaining and developing the test facilities, both daily and from a strategic perspective
You will be coaching and developing the competence of the people, and have nine direct reports from the management team and specialists in the company
Responsible for STRI budget and financial results
Ensure that the business is conducted in accordance with current laws and in a HSE (Heath, Safety and Environmental) compliant way
Ensure that the requirements on quality and in ISO/IEC standard within Testing and calibration laboratories (17025) are fulfilled
Drive marketing activities, develop customer relations and business development to reach the targets and the budget
Be the contact point towards universities and schools to enable that we cover long term competence needs

Your background
You are a driven leader with good communication skills and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while driving processes and projects forward
Genuine interest in coaching and developing your team in combination with fostering strong collaboration with peers and interfacing functions, both locally and globally
Previous leadership and managerial experience, and driving an organization/department is needed for this role
University degree in engineering or equal is a merit
Experience from High Voltage Power business, Testing or Systems, is seen as a merit
The role requires fluent in English, both in speaking and writing to be able to interact with both local and global stakeholders
