Being a leading supplier of equipment, tools, services, support and technical solutions for the mining and construction industry requires commitment. For our business unit Stationary Crushing and Screening in Svedala, are we now looking for someone to lead the Research and Technology team within our R&D department. Your mission - Being a driver of overall research strategies and provide with engaging leadership
In this position, you lead a team of highly skilled and professional experts in the fields of materials technology, crushing processes, wear and tribology, and FEA. You ensure that the strategies are aligned with our long-term visions and objectives and that all projects follow a common project model. In addition, you oversee the R&D budget by monitoring the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending and maintain professional standards.
You promote your team's high expertise both internally and externally, and you evaluate and develop the team to ensure the quality, validity and credibility of our research activities. Important parts of your mission are to develop and maintain technical expertise in the organization and to evaluate new technologies and provide with advice on appropriate R&D investments. You also establish and manage research cooperation with universities and the industry.
In this role, travel will occur.
Your character - A skilled networker with natural leadership abilities
We are looking for someone with a Master or a Ph.D. in Mechanics, Applied Physics or Mechatronics. You have at least seven years' experience from a managing position within research and technology, combined with a background from solid mechanics and working close to customer and market. You also have experience from modelling and simulation, research methodologies, material development with focus on steel and minerals processing, as well as in establishing and participating in joint research programs with universities. As we operate in a truly global setting you have good communication skills in English.
