The department of Design Automation works with streamlining and ensuring the efficiency of production, in the area of orders and order generation, together with supplying the production and customers with the related necessary information and data. The Design Automation department consists of 15 employees, located in Gimo, Sandviken and Germany.
We are currently looking for a Manager for Design Automation, to be based in Sandviken, Sweden.
Key performance areas
As Manager for Design Automation you are responsible for leading and developing the department and its activities. Your work includes performance management, planning and managing projects, forming work processes and provide necessary information to relevant stakeholders. You will act as coordinator for product development projects and collaborate with product owners, together with development units for projects within Sandvik Coromant. The department sets the standard and structure for automation of product development projects within Sandvik Machining Solutions (SMS), a task that calls for standardization, generalization, along with ensuring the ability to reuse and reutilize methods and processes.
This position includes travel and the opportunity to meet and network with global contacts.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Engineering, preferably within the area of machining, industrial economics or IT. Knowledge of design work and programming is advantageous and you also have documented experience of leadership. Excellent skills in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, are a prerequisite for this position.
