Your role
As manager for the product management function of our combat system, you will play a key role in making our product a success. Our combat system offer includes everything needed for turning a regular ship into a capable naval warship. From selection of weapons and sensors, through integration into our combat management system and acceptance and delivery to both national and international customers. Product managers are involved with figuring out what to build and which capabilities/characteristics of the product will make it a success.
Together with your team you will:
* Define plans and roadmaps for the product
* Work close with our marketing and sales team to define our offer in bids
* Work in close collaboration with technical product management to ensure that we build the right product
* Guide our R&D investments and act as the internal customer for our R&D
Daily work will be varied; developing people, business and ways-of-working. You will interact with customers, partners and sub suppliers as well as counterparts within Saab. We are a global operation with a global customer base, which also will give you the opportunity to travel in your role.
You will be a part of the Product Portfolio management team with the following main responsibilities:
* Product management of our combat system product according to the description above
* Grow the product management section and appoint product managers
* Over time, monitor, analyze and act upon the short and long-term need of competence to manage the product
* Responsible for financial result and follow-up of the section

Your leadership and cooperation skills are what matters most. Your drive to develop this section to meet the organization's needs, both short and long-term, will be highly valued. Most likely you have a background in similar business development roles and/or with first-hand experience from using our product in the armed forces. You are not afraid to engage yourself with the technical sides of the product and are capable of bridging the gap between business and technology.
Required skills:
* Experience in product management
* Commendable business acumen
* Interest in making things better
* Good communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written
Desired skills:
* An academic degree within a technical field
* Knowledge of combat systems
* Experience of leading leaders
* Experience from the armed forces
Your personality and previous experience will play an important role in leading this section. Building relationships and gaining the trust of your stakeholders will be keys to succeed. The complexity requires many competences to deliver the wanted capability and this is a part of the challenge. Your interest to understand the business and wish to develop our ways-of-working will be of great importance. The focus will be to deliver on time with a transparent communication throughout the whole organization. Knowledge specifically of our 9LV Combat System product is a bonus.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
