Your role
You will have the managerial responsibility for a section with 22 employees and have the responsibility for the environmental analysis work within BU Radar Solutions product portfolio. The section is responsible for performing analyses and simulation to meet the external environmental requirements that our products expects to be exposed to e.g. vibration, shock, wind, cold, heat and moisture. The section is design responsible for material products and responsible for developing and continuously managing the following analyses:

static and dynamic strength calculations
*
fatigue analyses and vibration simulations
*
FEM and system models
*
material investigations and material testing
*
CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis and cooling principles
*
EMC (Electromagnetic compatibility) analysis
The section works in agile teams and together with the team and the team leader, you will define areas of responsibilities and efficient ways of working. Your cooperation is very important to fully exploit the potential of the Environmental Engineering 's support to our internal and external customers. Together you are coaching the teams towards common strategic goals. Together with the teams you develop common tools and adopt processes, to support and facilitate the work. You will promote creativity, new ideas, business thinking and cooperation.
As manager of Environmental Engineering you will be part of the Systems Engineering management team and report to Head of Systems Engineering. In our management team all member contributes with their individual experiences and skills to create an effective and dynamic environment. You are expected to not only work with your individual area of responsibility; together with the other team members you will assist in defining and fulfilling the department's strategic goals. Being a member of the management team also means that you interact and take part in other sections challenges, within the department.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
What you will be a part of
Business Area Surveillance provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radars, electronic warfare, combat systems and command and control solutions.
Business Unit Radar Solutions is a business unit within Surveillance and has around 2 000 employees globally with its headquarter in Gothenburg with the largest international sites in USA and UAE.
The department Systems Engineering is part of the Engineering organization within Radar Solutions and have the system responsibility for microwave, mechanics, computer platforms and software solutions. It also has specialty engineering areas such as EMC, thermal analysis, materials and environmental. The department Systems Engineering has around 80 employees located at site Gothenburg and consists of four sections; Surface System Engineering, Airborne System Engineering, Platform Design and Environmental Engineering.
