We are now looking for Manager, Engineering to join our Tissue Machines Services Engineering and PMO team. In this role, you will lead and build a team of mechanical engineers focusing on Tissue machines improvement projects globally.

You have ability to work well under pressure, tight schedules, identify critical topics and create a positive and productive work environment. You are positive and persistent, eager to identify development needs and to drive business, personal and employee's growth forward.
Your primary location will be in Wroclaw (Poland) or Karlstad (Sweden). Other relevant Valmet locations may be considered.
Your main tasks and responsibilities include
Build, lead and manage a growing team of Design and Chief Engineers and external resources in complex and demanding improvement/modernization and R&D projects for Tissue Machines.
Responsible of mechanical design & chief engineering team resource management and development.
In charge of detail engineering subcontracting management and development
Collaborate and work together in daily basis with other engineering team Managers, and capital business tissue machine engineering.
Technology and technical support to sales and application, on-site personnel and R&D
Expectations
Relevant educational background such as Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Minimum eight years of relevant experience from mechanical engineering, delivery projects and/or technical project management background
Pro-active team leading and people management skills and ability to drive change
Capability to lead project teams, see the big picture and to prioritize in changing situations
Good networking and collaboration skills with employees, project teams, customers, and other stakeholders
Knowledge of tissue machines industry, processes and/or engineering seen as benefit
Knowledge of mechanical 3D modelling software like Catia V5/V6 seen as strength
In addition, you communicate fluently in English - other language skills will be a benefit. You have excellent communication and negotiations skills which enables you to operate in global business environment and customer interface between Valmet and the customer. Willingness to travel occasionally on international basis.
