Who are we?
The Chassis Gothenburg department has the mission to maintain and develop the premium Volvo trucks, such as our FH/FM/FMX products. We take full product ownership of complete chassis and work as "front face" towards the Volvo Brand. We drive the deliveries by close cooperation with technology streams and utilizing global architecture, components, and interfaces to a very high degree.
We are reinforcing product ownership and introducing new ways of working and high agile pace in delivering product improvements, while working to create and maintain a culture of passion and trust, where we work together and support each other in our daily tasks.
Within the Electric Vehicle area, we have very high ambitions and expectations and need a new group manager to drive the area of Energy supply installation
BF74244 Manager Electric Vehicle Energy Supply
What will you do?
As line Manager, you will actively work to support the team and the network of colleagues. You will systematically remove roadblocks and secure deliveries, and together with the team and cross-functional stakeholders drive continuous product improvements. As part of the complete chassis management team, you will keep focus on customer value, secure field quality, and set strategic directions.
The group currently consists of eight engineers located in Gothenburg and you will be part of the Chassis GOT management team reporting directly to the Chassis Chief Engineer.
You will take product ownership for installing the energy storage system for battery electric vehicles with responsibility for the anchorage to frame, crash structure, bushings and intermediary brackets within the installation. The work will be done in close cooperation with electromobility development and battery suppliers.
You will be accountable for technical deliveries, people, technology development, and working environment.

To be successful we think you have:
Several years of experience in at least one of the following fields: Chassis or Powertrain engineering, CAD, product development, production or testing
A strong urge to develop your engaging leadership by driving a technical product/competence area
Excellent Product and Product Development Knowledge, including good understanding of KOLA variants and complexity
Extensive network within Engineering, as well as cross-functionally and the Volvo Brand
A track record of keeping deliveries
