Job Description: As Manager for the EBM Technology Group within R&D your main responsibility is to lead and develop the group. You will also be a member of the R&D management team.
The EBM Technology group purpose is to develop and improve the Arcam EBM process for new and existing materials. To gather knowledge about relevant core technology fields, also in conjunction with external partners.
The group is responsible for:
Develop algorithms and thermal models for the EBM process.
Develop processes for materials used in the EBM Machines.
Define the product specification for powder used in the EBM process.
Develop and characterize material properties of EBM manufactured material.
Develop and characterize the EB source.
Represent Arcam in relevant Committees, e.g. ASTM and ISO.
Deliver committed deliveries to Projects.
This is a highly specialized group with high educational level and mostly with long experience in the field of EBM. Today the group consists of 10 persons and the intention is to increase with a few more. You will be an integral part of the team with an operative responsibility to lead and prioritize the work.
You will report to the Vice President R&D and be part of the R&D management team.
Qualifications:
Documented management experience is highly valued.
Education level M.Sc. or Ph.D. is required.
Project Management experience is seen as positive.
We are currently implementing an agile working methodology in R&D so experience from this is seen as positive.
Experience from leading Change Management is also good to have.
A broad background from different positions in industry is considered a merit.
You are an open and communicative person with a genuine interest to make other people grow.
You are analytical, well-structured and make sure things are delivered on time with high quality.
You are proficient in English, both written and verbally.
