We are looking for a Manager Drives Mechanical Engineering for our office in Västerås
Your Role
As the manager for the Drives mechanical Engineering team you will develop the team and their competencies and technical skills to secure world class motors and gearboxes for decades.
The roles key responsibilities are to provide leadership and direction to the staff of 10 engineers within the team and maintain close contact with staff on status of their work. You will have to ensure adherence to engineering processes to provide high quality designs that meet customer?s schedule and expectation and develop action plans and coordinate resources to address and resolve problems as needed.
You will also be responsible of the development of the engineering team to achieve full potential and maximum contributions. You will create and implement plans to improve employee skills, motivation and engagement. Production sites, supplier base, customers & engineering partners are spread out in the world which require a global mindsets.
Qualifications:
We believe you are educated to a Master degree level in Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant discipline
Have minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Have a great interest to constantly develop yourself, processes and the team
Have a great technical expertise and interest
Have the will and ability to take responsibility for given tasks and together with the group to deliver results
Have good motivational skills and take necessary decisions based on good judgment and experience
Can communicate fluently in English and Swedish
Fluent Swedish and English skills are required. German skills is an added value.
In order to be successful in this position you need excellent leadership abilities and communication skills as well as being well organized and structured. You also need to be driven, social and have high degree of integrity.
