The department Driveline Controls are responsible for development of control solutions for both conventional and electric drivelines. We develop functions on complete driveline level such as speed control, gear shifting strategies and brake blending strategies as well as internal control solutions for driveline components such as transmissions and brakes. We work with the complete development cycle from definition of new functions to implementation and calibration in machine.

Main activities and Responsibilities:
To be the manager for the team that is developing Word class driveline controls for Volvo CE
Responsible for recruiting, retaining and developing highly skilled employees in the Driveline Controls competence area
Develop and maintain quality assured solutions for Drivline Control functions according to stakeholder needs
To drive synergies and commonality across the Product Platforms, including Volvo Group products
Develop and execute Technical Solutions to satisfy the need for modularity and reuse in our designs
Work closely with Volvo Group entities to use and share solutions in Volvo CE products
In cooperation with key stakeholders, establish and drive execution of technology road maps and front loading of Advanced Engineering activities for Controls Driveline
Promote innovation and development of new functions for Driveline Control
Safeguard product safety and compliance with Functional Safety standards and regulatory compliance for the functions in the Controls Driveline area
Drive continuous improvements
Develop methods, tools and processes in the Controls Driveline area
Required knowledge, experience:
Engineering degree in a relevant knowledge area
Knowledge about software development and controls
Driveline product knowledge
Good leadership ability and experience leading people
Good communication skills verbally and written
Fluency in English
Additional important requirements:
Other language capabilities are desirable
