About this opportunity
Product Engineering Unit Radio (PEU Radio) drives the end-to-end research and development of Ericsson's radio products and solutions. PEU Radio is a global organization, within Engineering Unit Hardware (EUHW), collaborating across many sites in Canada, China and Sweden to drive Ericsson's strategy of securing our ongoing market leadership in radio, taking a leadership position in 5G.
Radio Production Test Development is responsible for developing test solutions to be used for testing radio products in production flow and in customer HW return flow. These solutions are used to optimize the product performance and to secure quality for all Ericsson delivered radio products.
Our development and integration challenge is to apply radio product SW functionality together with own designed test electronics and RF signal conditioning solution, measurement instrument functionality and develop a measurement methodology (SW) that secure that all delivered radio products fulfil product requirements.
We pursue our vision according to Ericsson's strategy and HW Engineering Unit wanted position to be industry-leading in radio, securing outstanding quality customer experience.
The Manager of Radio Test Integration will be responsible for the activities to define test implementation specification, Integrate radio product SW functionality together with the test methods that we from production test development have developed and verify that our implementation is fulfilling requirements. As a part of this integration there will also be a lot of trouble shooting of deviation from wanted behaviour from either radio product SW, radio product HW or our own developed measurement solutions.
The position is based in Kumla and may require travel to other PeU Radio sites in Sweden, China and Canada as well as to Ericsson Supply Sites in Europe, Asia and Americas.
What you will do
You will as Head of Radio Test Integration be responsible for leading the different competence teams to secure involvement in the whole product life cycle starting with defining testability requirements already in early phases all the way to the phase where volume ramp-up phase and the focus is more towards securing stability and repeatability in our solutions. The different team members that you will have in your team has their primary work space in a development lab where they can power up and run different measurements in a MATLAB based environment. We work in a project driven organization and most of the team members are working in projects that develops new radio units including the latest technology that Ericsson shall deliver to the market.
* Ensure that your team as part of the project acts timely & appropriately on delivering on our production test solution.
* Drive development of efficient ways of working and processes
* Ensure that your team are dedicated in identify deviations in measurement accuracy or stability and work through root cause analysis and deliver improvement proposals.
* Strengthen the feedback loop from already existing products to early phases in design and motivate changes in testability area that will avoid this for new product implementations.
* Drive towards that your team defines data that shall be delivered from our solutions to enable data analytics, AI/ML use cases to be used in PEU Radio to identify radio performance patterns and trends.
* Ensure improved ability for our solutions to handle product behaviour by analyzing radio performance patterns & trends applying data
