We have an opening for a new position as Manager Design & Technical Assistance within Eka Engineering in Bohus. Eka Engineering is responsible for acquiring and executing projects and related service activities to our external clients in the Pulp industry, mainly plants for production of chlorine dioxide
As a Manager Design & Technical Assistance you will lead of a team of 6-10 people. The responsibility is to make sure that best available technology and equipment design is implemented in the proposal and projects for our clients. You should also deliver technical assistance to our clients in accordance with the commercial agreements.
Main duties and responsibilities:
People Management
• Plan and allocate resources within the team to meet the needs
• Manager of a group of 6-10 people
• Coach team members with less experience in order to form efficient teams and promote personal development
Process and Equipment Design
• Ensure that implementation of Best Available Technology and Equipment design is done according to laws and standards in each project
• Define scope, based on customer demands, and lead decision taking within process and mechanical design in projects
• Monitor results (design, budget and time schedules) in projects in cooperation with the assigned Disicpline engineer in the projects
Technical Assistance
• Cooperates with the Sales Engineer to identify, offer and staff the needs for Technical Assistance to our clients
• Acts as technical expert in client and suppliers meetings
Other
• Global interaction with colleagues, external consultants, clients and suppliers
Qualifications
• University degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years? experience of design work in chemical or pulp industry
• Experience from working in a chemical or pulp industry plant environment
• Experience from capital project work in a global industrial environment
• Negotiation skills
• Strong leadership qualifications, previous experience as line manager is preferred
• Proven ability to communicate (verbal as well as written)
• Strong ability to cooperate, teamwork oriented
• Result oriented
• Fluent in Swedish and English. Other languages is a merit
• Ability to travel globally, 40 ? 60 days per year in average
