The impact you will have
In this position, you will have the line management responsibility of a very knowledgeable team driving the areas of Design Control, Requirement management, Risk management, Verification and Validation with strong focus on launching competitive products timely on the market. Your main task will be to lead your team towards the overall goal of ensuring that the products are safe, meeting standards and requirements with high quality when launched.
"I have a master's degree in computer technology and have worked for the past 17 years in medical technology at various companies, of which four years at Arjo. Since it is a small R&D team, I need to work with many different and new tasks. I learn a lot about how a product develops from idea to approved and salable product.
Arjo is a good workplace. We are now in a newly renovated part of the house and are. Our location in Malmö is very easy to get to. It is possible to work from home and to combine the job with life in general.

As the Manager Design Control, you will be responsible for:
Securing that your team support product development projects to execute meeting requirements and KPI's within Design Control, Requirement management, Risk, V&V
Establishing high competence, the right tools, and processes for efficient R&D
Advisor in on-going projects; expected output, interpretation of processes, priorities
Look for synergies and coordinate tasks with other line managers and external functions
Inspire the team to continuously improve the processes and develop
Be an ambassador for product quality by lead R&D with a commercial and strategic mindset
Have an active participation in strategic planning, yearly operational planning and its deployment among the team members within the Malmö development center
Identify and prevent defects in the design during development in a proactive manner
From time to time, participate as an extra resource within Design Control
Location: Malmö

The skills you will need
We are seeking a manager with strong drive being hands-on, analytical with pragmatic and proactive approach, driven by results. A strong communicator and team builder with experience from different cultural aspects. You are self-motivated with 'can-do' attitude and high levels of energy and motivation - being curious and a good listener, seeking continuous performance development.
Engineering bachelor's degree or advanced degree in engineering or management
Skilled in product development and design control and risk best practices
Knowledge and experience in working with standards, test, verification and validation
Proven management experience that value passion and curiosity
Experience from medical device product development or other regulated industry
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with pragmatic mindset
Holistic understanding of the business and strategic capabilities
