We are looking for a self-motivated and prestigeless leader to join our Data Science Team. Telenor is rapidly heading towards the digital future and we are looking for people with a natural proactive drive who wants to make a difference.
The Data Science Team are committed to supporting the Consumer and Business organizations with advanced analytics solutions. We work close together with product management, business management, customer service, networks, and IT departments.
Our main responsibility is to answer complex questions for the organization. We are part of initial hypothesis work, build solutions, follow up on results, and improve continuously.
What you'll do
We are now looking for a new leader for our Data Science team. You will be responsible for the product roadmap, coordinate and prioritize the backlog and keep contact with stakeholders around the organization. Also, you are responsible for maintaining a good work environment and employee development plans. You are part of the Product Management Team and will be reporting to our Head of Product within our Consumer division.
Who are you
To succeed as a leader, you have previous documented experience leading teams of analysts, data scientist or developers. We are working in an agile set-up, where the line organization is less important than the results to achieve. You are self-motivated and passionate, and an excellent storyteller. You acknowledge that your role is to gather the best team possible and to enable them to be successful and motivated.
To succeed in this role, you have had first-hand experienced of retrieving, manipulating, analyzing, and presenting solutions and recommendations based on data. You understand the challenges of handling data in a big company; availability, quality, GDPR, large volumes, and you well acquainted with possibilities and limitations when applying data science within a CRM organization. You are also aware of the typical pitfalls and problems that come with big data in big organizations.
In terms of personal competences, the following will be considered essential to succeed:
* Leadership: you are an experienced leader, with an agile mind set who thinks little of prestige
* Networking: you naturally build useful networks of contacts and relationships and you can utilize it to achieve objectives
* Background: you have been working with data and understand the trade of getting your hands-on data, processing, analyzing, and presenting any conclusions identified.
