What you'll do
Function and technical responsibility
Body in White (BiW) Packaging Engineering(PE) is part of the Supply Chain Management organisation and belong to the department Logistics Industrialisation EMEA.
The main purpose is to ensure that optimal packaging solutions based on best practice, quality and total cost are in place in accordance to car program timelines & running change introductions. The packaging shall be designed for a lean logistic flow with small lots and have the operator in focus.
PE BiW is responsible for packaging from EMEA based suppliers and global design work for typebound packaging for common BiW parts.

Who are you?
We are looking for a committed and inspiring manager, combined with curiosity for logistics and technical solutions. The right candidate has a proven good leadership performance. You are highly successful in leading and motivating people to bring out the best. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Swedish language is an advantage. You have an engineering background, university degree or equivalent. Experience from development in car programs & type bound packaging solutions is an advantage.
You as a leader
You will be responsible as line manager for a team that consist of 9 employees who all are located in Olofström. Your main location is Olofström. You will be a member of Logistic Industrialisation EMEA Management Team. Business trips will be required in this function, both within Sweden and our global regions.
To be successful in the role you must be able to lead the team in a way that supports the Volvo Cars culture and wanted leadership behaviors. Other responsibilities and requirements for the position includes performance management, competence development and resource allocation according to priorities of the business.
