Technical support plays a key role in delivering high value to customers, and we are now looking for an additional Manager to join the Technical Services team in EMEA.

This position is located in the city of Lund in the southern part of Sweden

WHAT WILL YOU DO
We, as a team and as a function, deliver excellent technical services to our customers, which is proven by customer surveys. It's the people, and the way we work together as a team, that makes this possible. Our drive, dedication to our customers, taking responsibility, and support for each other and from tools are cornerstones in our organization and how we work.

As a manager, your primary tasks are to nurture an open team spirit environment and create conditions for the team to deliver support at their best. You do so by being close and available in the day-to-day work of your employees, for example a question about a specific support cases with advice on a process or communication matter. It also includes surging for the staffing situation and availability of people so that the function and service level can be maintained by your teams. You help your team members grow as individuals and in their performance, along with the development of the function and the customers' expectations.

Other responsibilities in this role includes recruitments, being the contact towards technical managers in the sales offices for your regions and engaging in the development of the technical services function. You create and have relations to other stakeholders in technical services, in Lund as well as in other regions, and you don't hesitate to meet or speak with customers.

To be successful in the role, you need to be able to drive and to adapt to rapid changes and to take on or change responsibilities related to the quick development of Axis solutions and the Axis organization. Flexibility, balanced and adaptable communication style, and relation building are other key characteristics for the role. With such characteristics we want to see that you will not only be the manager of your team, but also a leader.

Tasks and responsibilities further exemplified:

In co-operation with our Service Delivery Administrator, maintain work and vacation schedules for your own team so that all support channels (e.g. phone and chat) on relevant languages are sufficiently covered, and when needed align and adjust such schedules with other groups in the team
Not only facilitate but also engage in the day-to-day work for the Technical Services Engineers (TSEs) in your team so that work possibilities are good and that service level goals are being met
Take responsibility also outside the own department with an ability to see the big picture and based on that participate in driving improvements
Facilitate "best practices" to align work methods between all groups in the team, and if feasible propose updates of the guidelines
The position involves a few travels a year within the EMEA region.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
You're a service and open minded, social, empathetic, and structured individual, with a documented experience from managing people in a team in a technical environment. You connect well with people and build mutual trust and respect through genuine interest and care. With an ability analyse and to see the big picture, you generally make longer term decisions. Besides this you have good organisational skills and an ability to coordinate complex issues with several different parties involved.

Experience from service organizations where you have been involved in building and implementing new services, working with SLAs, working with managed services, and charged services is considered a good qualification.

You need to be conversant with and interested in IT technology to be able to understand the scope of the day-to-day work in the team and to participate in certain type of meetings and discussions.

To be able to speak and write in English fluently with good conversational and presentation skills is a must.
