hela Sverige Do you want to be a enable the development and supply of state of the art Combat Systems to the international market? We are now looking for a manager for the Development Environment section.
Your role
Our business is to develop and deploy complex, software-based, high-performance military command and control and fire control systems and we are responsible for the DevOps of development environments for hundreds of systems and software engineers. We use many different programming languages and development tools, and our products are security and safety critical, often real-time for digital control and apply big data technology for managing external sensors.
Your role is to manage the Development Environment section that develops and operates our development hardware and software infrastructure - our Virtual Development Center - and the core services that support our diverse and complex development activities.
The main tasks are:
* Govern a complex DevSecOps organization, including network, infrastructure services, applications, security, export control, quality certificates, etc.
* Manage site reliability engineering to optimize performance of the engineering of the unit as a whole
* Lead networking activities as the Manager of the "hub" of development environments with peers in several countries and in other security domains in a separation of concerns structure
* Represent us in networks, consortia and other structures of cooperation to drive technology and synergies in a wide network
Your profile:
We are looking for a person who leads by coaching and cultivating people to perform and feel well, while managing an operation under formal governance requirements.
You have good business understanding, leadership and change management skills. You like to challenge status quo and seek out new perspectives. You have a collaborative approach and a drive to succeed and deliver at all times.
Further, the successful candidate has a broad profile with at least the following attributes:
* Experienced in IT management and governance
* Strong social skills - a team player willing to walk the extra mile
* Understanding the operations of multinational engineering organizations, and preferably of the specifics of our military end users
