Place of action
Support and Services, a business area of Saab, supplies a wide range of services and integrated support solutions to customers in defence and on commercial markets for cost-efficient support of systems and platforms throughout their life cycle.
Saab's Product Area, Surveillance Solutions, SSO, has been contracted to support the operation of the delivered Saab 2000 ERIEYE AEW&C and associated ground systems to a Middle East country.
This is a major undertaking for Saab and we need to appoint a number of technical and administrative positions on site in the country capital.
Saab is assisting in setting up a Line & Base maintenance facility and need to employ a Maintenance Manager to lead the day to day technical operations together with the customer.
Your future challenge
You are Saabs on-site technical manager leading the Saab maintenance staff in the day to day maintenance operations of the Saab 2000 ERIEYE AEW&C aircraft and associated ground systems together with the customers Maintenance Squadron Commander.
The primary function is to make sure that the aircraft are fully operational including mission equipment. All maintenance work is to be carried out under the customers regulations aiming for equivalent EASA Part-145 standard and you will also work in conjunction with the customer's maintenance staff.
The contract objective is also to transfer Saab technical knowledge to the customer’s maintenance staff and you will also support the OJT task training of their aircraft technicians.
You will be stationed with accommodation both in the country's capital city and the Airforce base for 1-3 years employed and seconded by Saab AB.
Today's demands
You are a proven aircraft maintenance manager and a certified aircraft technician with at least five years experience and typerating on the Saab 2000 aircraft.
You are well experienced in EASA regulations Part-145 and Part-M with fluent technical english.
Leadership in an internatioenal environment and experience of working in the Middle East is also favorable as well as exceptional social skills including focus on customer needs.
You are eager to embrace new cultures, non judgemental, tolerant and understand the need to be flexible knowing when to step forward and when to yield.
