West Atlantic is looking for a Maintenance Finance Controller in Malmö/Sturup, who wants to work in international environment, be a part of a corporate culture and contribute to our positive spirit and learning organisation.
The Maintenance Finance Controller will be part of the Finance team and you will be responsible for reviewing and challenging the costs of the Maintenance entities to reduce unit costs. Provide financial reporting, analysis, and business control to the Maintenance teams to ensure all costs are controlled, monitored, and managed. This should result in more transparency on overall costs and in more optimal unit costs. Furthermore, you are responsible for highlighting critical issues and opportunities, support the building of business cases and ensuring benefits are realised in line with plan. Support the short- and long-term financial planning processes of Budgets & Forecasts.
The job:
• Overall responsibility for recording, analysing, and presenting business & financial information relating to the maintenance area in West Atlantic Sweden AB and its affiliates to internal and external stakeholders
• Be responsible for the financial support to the Maintenance organisation and the financial control of the maintenance business
• Analyse and present financial data for both ongoing business decisions as well as the long-term improvement of the quality- and efficiency development of the maintenance organisation
• Be responsible for forecasts and the annual budget process for the maintenance organisation
• Assist with monthly book-closing processes to ensure an accurate and timely closing of the maintenance organisation accounts
• Be responsible for the monthly financial follow up of results vs budget/forecast
• Manage and develop internal control processes
• Driving and participating in internal projects and developments
You:
• Have a university degree in finance or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years working experience, preferably within the maintenance area in aviation or aviation-related industry
• Are fluent in English both oral and written
• Knowledge of 1 or more Scandinavian languages is considered an advantage
• Have excellent abilities in MS Office 365
• Have a high level of problem solving and planning skills/experience, both day to day and strategic
• Possess in-depth knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and internal control practices
• Have excellent time management skills, being able to meet deadlines and timelines for reporting and decision requirements
• Have a work- and residence permit for EU
• Have a driving licence and access to car
