The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used to transmit electrical power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems as well as to interconnect ac networks asynchronously to achieve optimized operation. You will report to global Maintenance Service Manager based in Ludvika.Tasks:As maintenance engineering & installed base manager, your responsibility will include the following tasks:1.Manage the ongoing digitalization of the installed base management project that encompass essential data for all the HVDC converter stations that ABB has installed around the world since 1950s, which is a vital initiative in HVDC Service Strategy 2019-2020. This will play crucial role in accelerating pursuit of opportunities, tendering and efficient execution of Upgrades, HVDC Care and maintenance service orders.2. Drive/coordinate preparation and maintenance of harmonized processes, routines, instructions and templates for:- Supporting optimized tendering, - Efficient execution of maintenance service projects,- Gathering feedback & data from the execution of maintenance projects, which will be used for development & improvements of our system design and equipment/products to achieve better operational performance and easy maintenance.3. Drive/coordinate establishment of standard/common CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or Asset Management Systems (ASM).4. Drive continuous update/maintenance of Installed Base Management System (IBMS), ASM, processes and routines.5. Support Local Service Centers (LSCs) around the world, which are responsible for local execution of the maintenance service projects, with processes, routines, instructions, templates & tools needed for creation of new business opportunities and efficient execution of service contracts.6. Coordinate maintenance engineering related activities with HVDC's green field EPC project teams during design and execution phases, which are needed for later execution of Long Term Service Agreement (LTSA) undertakings.7. Analyze data received from maintenance projects and use/provide the results for maintenance of IBMS, RAM-database, ASM/CMMS and development of capacity and competence of our service engineers/personnel.Requirements:First and foremost, you are a confident person with the ability to strike a balance between strategic, operational and tactical tasks to ensure that they are in line with our business's local and global priorities. You have good collaboration and communication skills and thrive in a multi-cultural environment. You hold bachelor's degree in engineering and have a minimum 5 years' relevant experience from utilities or industries, out of which a minimum of two years from maintenance engineering area. Experience from substations or HVDC or FACTS projects will be an advantage. Expectation on experience from maintenance engineering and installed base includes the following items:- Preparation of maintenance activities by gathering information from design, OEMs, and executed maintenance projects and design, which is used for RAM calculations and preparation of maintenance service package/manuals.- Involvement in preparations of documentation package and plans for execution of maintenance projects - Skills in handling IT/IS systems used in maintenance engineering such as databases and computer applications.You should be fluent in English - written and spoken.
